Code Push News: Replying from Comment Notifs emails

Ahhhh this is really neat for DW users, both normal and non-rpers.

tl;dr: After the code push, we should be able to make replies via email without having to log into DW (which is neat for commenting on computers that blocked DW), plus we can pick icons via keywords.

Once this is live, I’ll be testing it out.

Using my Catphones journal, since he’s the only one with a paid to test out the new DW changes. PROS: Icons load up much faster, and there’s no delay when searching for them via keywords in [SEARCH] Since icons are now in rows like this, you scroll through them quicker. Old icon browser have them in two columns, which make it length to scroll. NO. LAG. HOLY SHIT. I click on the filters in the top right (Meta text/no meta text, small images/large images) to test out different settings and the icons load up really fast compared to the old browser. CONS: Probably a pref thing, but the white background for the browser is a bit too bright. I’m used to DW’s light grey. According to my friends, it was a beta-only feature, so it’s nice to see it come out for the general public who didn’t enable beta features. Of course, you need a paid journal to use the icon browser, but at the rate DW’s going, they deserve money for their hard work.

Dreamwidth’s down for their scheduled maintenance.

Somewhat annoyed since I have beautiful RPs going on, but I still love the staff for their promptness yesterday and keeping us informed.

I guess I should do other productive stuff.

Icon glitch is apparently fixed for real. Real-real.

Which means it’s time for me to cut down Yuzu’s 90+ icons down to 15.
